The Canadian Journal of Pathology is a quarterly peer-reviewed publication owned by the Canadian Association of Pathologists (CAP-ACP). It is published in electronic format by Clockwork Communications on behalf of the CAP-ACP. ISSN 1918-9168.

Submit to Canadian Journal of Pathology

Submissions to the Journal require declaration of any conflicts of interest and for authors to grant CAP-ACP with non-exclusive rights to publish and otherwise deal with, or make use of, the article and any photographs and images, in Canada and all other countries of the world. Copyright becomes effective upon acceptance for publication. Following submission we ask that authors not submit their manuscript to any other publications until we have completed our process.

Scope and Content

Canadian Journal of Pathology (CJP) is a quarterly peer-reviewed publication owned by the Canadian Association of Pathologists (CAP-ACP) with an international editorial board of pathology and laboratory medicine experts. The journal covers a wide spectrum of diagnostic and research aspects of laboratory medicine ranging from anatomical pathology, microbiology, chemistry, hematopathology and molecular pathology.

The journal’s mandate is to provide comprehensive and up-to-date information that will engage dialect amongst pathologists internationally. The journal accepts submissions on topics related to the science and practice of pathology and laboratory medicine including:

  • Original Research articles
  • Case Series and Reports
  • Literature Reviews
  • Molecular Pathology Corner (Mini-reviews)
  • Practice Guidelines
  • Letters of Commentary
  • Letters to the Editor

Financial support of this Journal is provided through in-journal advertising and from a portion of the revenue collected through Canadian Association of Pathologists’ membership fees. There are no author fees associated with publishing in this journal.

Journal Access

The Journal is distributed to all CAP-ACP membership and to paid subscribers. New issues are available to subscribers only and become open-access after 6 months.
